Obituary of Tom Conner

Tom Conner of Madison, TN age 77, left his worldly home surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren he adored. Welcoming him home was his wife of 57 years, Betty, his daughter, Debbie, parents Tom and Sarah Conner and his brother William. Leaving behind to cherish the memories of their "Pops" are his daughters, Jeannie (Jeff) Richard, Pam (Clark) Bussell; His grandchildren, Lindsay (Jim) O'Brien, Chase (Avery) Tuggle, Logan Apple, Reed Apple, Michael (Amber) Richard, Kristi Richard, Andy Bussell and Jordan Bussell; Great grandson, Hudson Bussell and great granddaughter he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of, Ellie Grace O'Brien; sisters, Louise Compton, Nell Shelhorn, Deb Medford, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a man of integrity who treated everyone the same. He found his greatest happiness in taking care of his family, teaching them by his own example to love God, be compassionate, and always laugh a little every day. The family will receive friends today (Sunday) in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home, 219 E. Old Hickory Blvd. from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday from12 noon to 2pm with services beginning at 2:30pm with Bro. Gordon Donahoe, officiating. Pallbearers: Logan Apple, Reed Apple, Chip Conner, Michael Richard, Jackie Sadler and Chase Tuggle. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. madisonfuneralhome.net. (615)868-9020.
