KURZYNSKE, EDNA, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 after a brief stay at Alive Hospice in Madison, TN. Edna was born February 17, 1921, the daughter of Gladyce Lively and James Edison Trent. She was preceded in death by son, Jon Kevin (Julie); her parents; and brother, Elbert E. Trent. Mrs. Kurzynske is survived by her beloved husband, Frank; and four sons, Robert C. (Mary), F. Richard (Janet), Mark T. (Teresa) and E. Todd (Melody). She also leaves behind 9 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 2 great grand-daughters, and 9 great grandsons. Edna was a stay at home Mom who loved to travel, and travel she did: for better than 40 years, only missing Australia and the South Pole. While at home, Edna was a past member of the Inglewood Garden Club, and past president of the Nashville Engineering Women's Auxillary. While her husband was in school at Tennessee Tech, she began Cookeville's Cub Scout den. She was later involved with the Madison area Cub Scouts and her Church's Pathfinder youth organization. Visitation with the family will be at Madison Funeral Home Friday 6-8 p.m. Graveside services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Saturday at 3 p.m. Memorials may be given to Alive Hospice, American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
