Thomas Floyd "Tommy" Howe, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 76.
Mr. Howe was a distinguished scientific glassblower with the Chemistry Department of Vanderbilt University for over thirty years.
He was also a talented and gifted baritone in the Southern Gospel genre, singing since age 3. He performed with his group the Houston, TX based Royals. He would also fill-in for such gropes as the Masters V and Blackwood Brother just to mention a few. Mr. Howe was a member of White House Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Tollie Louise Pate Howe; daughter, Darla Gayle Howe-Hixon; sons, Thomas Floyd "Jym" Howe, III and his wife, Christina and Walter Dillon Howe; sisters, Shirley (Buddy) Schroeder and Debbi (Tommy) Atkinson; grandchildren, Bradley (Munro) Hixon and Thomas (Kristen) Floyd Howe, IV; great-granddaughter, Flora Hixon.
