Ronald Eugene Pearce, Sr. age 79, of Portland, TN passed away peacefully on March 14, 2022, at White House Health Care surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee April 26, 1942, the son of Mary Josephine Trigg and the late Robert A. Pearce. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Pearce, and grandson, J. R. Pearce. Ronny married the love of his life, Catherine Simpson, on February 17, 1962, at Tulip Street Methodist Church. They had a lively house with the three boys they raised, Brad, Billy, and Ronny, Jr. Ronny loved and adored Cathy. He was so proud of her accomplishments as well as his sons and those in his family. Ronny worked at Dupont for 13 years and then launched out on his own with Pearce Diesel Machine Shop, Ridgetop, TN, Remay, and last before he retired, K&R Locksmith. Ronny had many hobbies he thoroughly enjoyed. He and Cathy loved to travel and kept a huge map of the world and marked their destinations. They had traveled to all 7 continents. Ronny was a member of the Corvette Club, Free, and Accepted Masons and was a member of the Goodlettsville Lodge, and also the Al Menah Shrine where he belonged to the Clown Unit. He owned a boat and really treasured going to Old Hickory Lake with his family, just riding around and taking the boys water skiing. He and Cathy were long-time members of the church they loved, Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Ronnie is survived by his mother, Josephine Pearce, White House, TN; his beautiful bride of 60 years, Cathy Pearce, Portland, TN; precious sons and their wives, Brad and Chellie Pearce, Springfield, TN and Ronny, Jr. and Je’nice Pearce, Shelbyville, IL, 7 Grandchildren, Amelia (Rob) Bacon, William (Alyssa) Pearce, Blake (Emily) Pearce, Colin Pearce, Chad Pearce, Lauren Pearce, & Brandon Pearce; Great Grandchildren, Karleigh, Elliott, Sterling, Payton & Parker; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Dana Simpson. A Celebration of Ronny’s Life will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, at 6:00 PM, Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 226 S. Main St., Goodlettsville, TN 37072 with Pastor Tim Stutler officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 6:00 PM prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Pearce, Colin Pearce, Chad Pearce, William Pearce, Rusty Simpson, and Rob Bacon. Interment will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Rd, Madison, TN 37115 with a Masonic Service being held at 1:00 PM in the Masonic Garden. There will be no procession to the cemetery and those attending are asked to come to the side parking lot of the funeral home at 12:45 to be directed to the graveside. The Pearce family would like to express their appreciation to White House Healthcare and Adoration Hospice for the kind and thoughtful care of Ronny during his illness.
